Sandra R. Ley (nee Platz), 76, of Elyria, died September 26, 2023 at her home. She was born April 12, 1947 in Bedford. She retired as an insurance agent for J.L. Smith Associates. Sandy was a member of Amvets and enjoyed going to casinos, cross stitch and computer games.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Jerome; daughters, Kristine (Richard) Bridge and Shannon (Sam) Perrott; grandchildren, Joshua, Sandra, Megan, Ricky, Brandon and Brittany; 12 great-grandchildren plus one on the way; sister, Donna (Nick) Bibich and a brother, Eddie Jay Platz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Frances (nee Hartman) Platz.

Per her request, there will be no services.
