Sandra L. Perkins

Sandra L. Perkins (nee Weiss), 82, of Elyria, died peacefully Friday February 14, 2025 with family by her side.  She was born April 23, 1942 in Elyria and was a 1960 graduate of Elyria High School.  She received an associate degree in teaching from Ohio University and for many years taught and was a librarian aide in the Elyria City Schools from where she retired.  Sandy was a member of The Gathering Church and a former member of St. John Lutheran Church.  She loved people and her family, especially her grandchildren.  She was a lover of animals and enjoyed attending Cleveland Indians games.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 62 years, Robert “Butch”; children, Scott (Cathy), Jennifer (Lee) Bowen and Brad (Debby); grandchildren, Crystal (Adrean) Young, Tyler (Jessica), Logan, Jamie (TJ) Eden, Max (Maddi Dicken), Brooke and Mallory Bowen; great-grandchildren, Kayla (Cleon) Aloese, Kiersten Young, Elliot, Beau Eden, Annie and Sophie and a sister, Linda Weiss.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Beatrice Weiss and a sister, Sharon Trescott.

Services will be at a later date.
