Sara "Sally" Pendergrass Altheide nee: Brown

Sara "Sally" Pendergrass Altheide nee: Brown, 78, of Elyria, died Friday September 24, at Oakridge Nursing Home, Westlake, Ohio.

She was born February 8, 1933 in Elyria, was a 1951 graduate of Brookside High School, had lived in Sheffield Village and Elyria most of her life and was formerly employed at Dairy Mart in Grafton. Her family was musically talented and she especially enjoyed playing the piano. Other interest included gardening, knitting and crocheting.

Sally is survived by her children, Barbara (Eric) Gallaher of Gassaway, WV, Roger(Denise)Pendergrass, Donald Pendergrass and Diane Steele all of Elyria, Dale Pendergrass of Westlake and Sharon DuMont of Louisville, KY; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; brother, Bud(Margaret)Brown of Sheffield Village; sister, Eileen Craven of Elyria, Marilyn Wilson of Lorain and Nancy Brown of St. Louis, MO and former husband, Blake Pendergrass of Westlake.

She was preceded in death by daughters, Marilou Wendling and Karen Blevins; sister, Joan Perry and parents, Edward and Leona Brown.

Visitation will be Monday 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A graveside service will be Tuesday 11:00 A.M. at Garfield Cemetery, Sheffield Village.
