Stephen K Evans

Stephen K. Evans, 59, of Elyria, died Tuesday April 15, 2025.  He was born September 11, 1965 in Croydon, England. His family relocated to Elyria, Ohio in 1974. Steve was a 1983 graduate of Elyria West High School, where he excelled academically through graduation. 

Steve was a hard working man, working a variety of management and sales positions starting in his early adult life. Most notably, he worked as a manager at Bally Total Fitness, and as a high performing salesman at ComDoc (now Xerox). Steve also volunteered his time with Our Lady Queen of Peace in Grafton for many years. He enjoyed music, Cleveland sports, and quality time with those he loved.

Steve was proud to be an Evans. His family was his priority and motivation for everything he did in life. Steve was beloved by many throughout his community, and is often described as a loyal and empathetic confidant over decades long friendships. 
 
Steve is survived by daughters, Alyssa Evans of Amherst, Desarae Evans-Stephens of Los Angeles; son, Spencer Evans of Cleveland; 2 grandchildren; his mother, Aileen Evans and brothers, Fred and Mark Evans.  
 
He was preceded in death by his father, William R. Evans.

A Celebration of Steve’s Life will be May 24, 2025 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Elyria United Polish Club, 1501 Middle Avenue, Elyria.
