Susan M. Groh

Susan M. Groh (nee Fleming), 68, of Elyria, died Friday, November 29, 2024 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center.  She was born June 4, 1956 in Spartanburg, SC.  Susan was a 1974 graduate of Elyria High School and received a degree as a registered nurse from Lorain County Community College.  For over 30 years, she was employed at Elyria Memorial Hospital/UH Elyria Medical Center in the cardiac step down unit, preadmission testing and the outpatient procedure room, retiring in 2021.  She enjoyed entertaining family and friends, water exercise, reading, her animals and traveling to Sanibel Island, FL with her husband and family for vacations..

Susan is survived by her husband of 48 years, Christopher J.; son, Nick (Jenny) Groh of South Euclid; daughter, Jennifer Fowler of Elyria and a brother, Michael (Sandy) Fleming of Ellenton, Fl.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Virginia Fleming and a brother, Ronald Fleming.

Friends will be received Saturday December 14, 2024 from 11:00 am until the time of a 1:00 pm memorial service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.  Reverend Kathryn Ketchum will officiate.
