Thomas E. Adelsberg, 56, of Elyria, died January 25, 2024, in his home. He was born June 14, 1967, and was a 1985 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School. He received a bachelor’s degree from THE Ohio State University in 1992 and was employed for 28 years in the Lorain County Juvenile Court system, retiring in 2022. Tom was a member of The Panther Club, Knights of Columbus #774, an avid sneakerhead and passionate sports fan. Especially THE Ohio State Buckeyes.
Tom was a devoted father who treasured time with family and friends. He supported Bear in all her endeavors, both athletic and academic. He also served as the “cruise director” for any group he was a part of and made sure to get a group picture before everybody left.
Tom is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lisa (nee Hudnutt); daughter, Claire Adelsberg; mother, Nancy (nee Skibo) Adelsberg; brothers, Jeffrey (Michelle) and David (Denise) and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Edward; brother, Scott; loving grandparents and in-laws.
Friends will be received Friday, February 2, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. We will be celebrating Tom with Buckeye attire.
