Thomas S. Holt

 Thomas S. Holt, a proud U.S. Navy veteran and longtime Sandusky resident, passed away July 12, 2025, at the age of 91. Born in Elyria, Ohio, Tom dedicated his life to service—first to his country in the Navy, and then to his community through 45 years of committed work with Columbia Gas as well as service organizations, including the Jaycees. He was deeply proud of both his military service and his long career, which reflected his strong work ethic, loyalty, and quiet strength. Tom found joy on the water, spending days boating and fishing—two of his favorite pastimes.

Tom is survived by his wife of 65 years, Laurie; daughters, Vicky Hoover of Rochester, NY, Valerie Robinson of Elyria and Stephanie Kristof of Parma; five grandchildren and several nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Margaret Holt; sister, Janice Riddle and her husband Hoy, and a brother, William Holt.

A graveside service will be Monday August 11, 2025 at 12:30 PM in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.  Amherst Veterans Military Honor Guard will conduct military honors.
