Thomas A. Pfaff
Thomas A. Pfaff, 48, of Amherst, died Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at EMH Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
He was born November 10, 1961 in Elyria and worked for the Crest Fence Company (his familys business) for 33 years. He was an active member of Harvest Christian Church in Elyria and he volunteered serving meals with the Salvation Army.
Tom enjoyed the outdoors, his motorcycle and he loved his family and friends more than self.
He is survived by his wife of 10 years, Shirley Renee (nee Goby) of Amherst; sons Nicholas J. Pfaff of Bergen Co., NJ and Anthony A. Pfaff of Cleveland, OH and Jacob Patton of Washington State; daughters Amie J. Harden of Shelby, Jennifer Gwynn of Grafton, Hollie McGuire of Lorain and Savannah Rogers of Norfolk, VA; seven grandchildren; sisters Marianne Oates of So. Amherst and Lori J. Pfaff of Elyria; brother Brad Pfaff of Elyria; several nieces, nephews and uncle, Richard Foxen of Bay Village.
He was preceded in death by his parents William W. Pfaff in 2004; Ann M. Pfaff in 2006 and a nephew Brett A. McDavid in 2008.
Visitation will be Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. in the Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria, where a funeral service will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. Pastor James R. Mazey and Pastor Edward J. Padley will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, So. Amherst. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, 7020 AC Skinner Pkwy, Suite 100 Jacksonville, FL 32256.
