Vickie Lee Chandler (nee Nail), 68, of Elyria, passed away Thursday August 1, 2024 in her home after a battle with esophageal cancer. She was born August 17, 1955 in Elyria and was a 1973 graduate of Elyria High School. For 25 years, she lived and worked in the medical field in Bonita Springs, FL prior to returning to her hometown in 2010. Vickie was a great cook and had a passion for gardening and feeding her many birds. She leaves behind her beloved dogs, Daizy, Phoebe and Skye. She was an avid Cleveland Guardians fan and enjoyed watching games with her husband, Ed and her brother Kevin and his wife, Carol.
Vickie is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ed; stepdaughter, Monica Chandler (Steven Gaston); sisters, Linda Randolph, Donna Nail, Tammie (Chuck) Thompson and Charity (Keith) Ziegman; brothers, David (Denise) Nail, Joe (Starr) Nail, Kevin (Carol) Nail, Rusty (Kelly) Nail and Jason (Moriah) Nail; her uncle Bill (Lill) McNeal and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Hazel (nee McNeal) Nail and brothers, Paul (Nancy) Nail, Donald Nail and Mark (Dottie) Nail.
Inurnment will be Tuesday, August 13, 2024 at 12:00 pm at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Reverend Anthony Wiggins will officiate.
