Virginia K. Moore

Virginia K. Moore, 97, died August 30, 2010 at Med Central Hospital, Mansfield, OH.

She was born June 9, 1913 in Elyria to Pansey and Andrew Dusendong. She had been a resident of Elyria, Oberlin and Galion, and since 1990, had lived in Mansfeld.

She was employed at Harrys Menswear in Elyria and Lorain for twenty-five years, retiring in 1975.

She and her husband established Moorwood Kennels in Galion and Oberlin and exhibited purebred dogs and American saddle bred horses. She was a lifetime member of Richland County Kennel Club.

Virginia is survived by daughters Sharon Cassel of Mansfield and Joanne Gilmore of Elyria; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter H. in 1988 and a sister Ruth I. Adams in 1997.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 p.m. until the time of a 7:30 p.m. service at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria. A burial service will be Friday 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain.
