Virginia H. Schnur

Virginia H. Schnur (nee: Moore), 89, of Elyria, died Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Center Ridge Health Campus, North Ridgeville.

She was born November 14, 1920 in St. Petersburg, FL and has been a resident of Elyria most of her life. She attended Elyria High School and had formerly been employed at General Industries, Ridge Tool Company and A& P Grocery Stores, all in Elyria. Virginia is survived by a daughter, Carol I. (Brian) Maser; sons, Alan L. (Michelle) Johnson, Lawrence W. (Jeanne) Johnson and Ronald H. (Cathy) Johnson all of Elyria; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren and a brother George Moore of Amherst. She was preceded in death by husbands, Alan L. Johnson in 1954 and Robert J. Schnur in 1990; brother, Edward Moore; sister, Lucille Heath and parents George and Irene Moore.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. A funeral service will be Monday 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home with Reverend Janet A. Long officiating Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association, P.O. Box, 74924, Cleveland, Ohio 44194-4924.
