Wanda L. Edgell

Wanda L. Edgell (nee Barr), 80, of Elyria, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011 at Wooster Subacute, Wooster, OH.
She was born October 17, 1930 in Grantsville, WV and has been a longtime Elyria resident.
She was a former cook at the Country Inn in LaGrange and had also been a home health caregiver. Wanda was a member of Elyria Church of God, the Jolly Sixties, was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and R.S.V.P. and enjoyed cooking, baking and crafts.
Wanda is survived by sons Richard (Christine) Edgell of Elyria, Tony (Vickie) Edgell of LaGrange, James Edgell of Elyria; daughters Jeanette (Gary) Behner of Wellington, Carolyn (Ron) White of Elyria, Tresa Thompson of Berea, Ruth Ann Edgell of Elyria and Sandy Plasman of Medina; seventeen grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by daughters Judy and Janet Edgell; grandson Shawn Huddleston; parents French and Mildred Barr; brother Richard Lee Barr and a sister Elma Jean Barr.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria.
A funeral service will be Monday 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Pastor Thom W. Cody officiating. Burial will be in River Road Cemetery, LaGrange Township.
