Wilma Rae Gibb

Wilma Rae Gibb, 91, of Elyria, died Friday July 25, 2025.  She was born March 30, 1934 in Norwalk.  She attended Murray Ridge Center in Oberlin and had no plans to retire. She enjoyed being around her friends and the staff there who loved her and treated her like a Queen.  Wilma had a great sense of humor and often had others laughing with her funny stories and quick wit and liked to share stories about her childhood dog, Stinky. She had a great smile and an even more awesome laugh!  Wilma loved having her nails painted and her hair styled - she always wanted to look her best!  She loved to sing her favorite song "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" and especially liked it when others joined in.  Wilma loved her family at Cedar Creek and Murray Ridge Center and was very much loved by all of them. She will be greatly missed.

Wilma is survived by a sister, Anna Mae Brill and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mae Gibb; twin brother, William Glenn Gibb, Jr and sisters, Florence Clark, Jane Bryden, Marie Brucato, Helen Dangelo Law and Doris Gnagy.

Friends will be received Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria.  Private burial will be in Grove Street Cemetery, New London at a later date.
