Melanie Rose Majewski-Kaliszewski

Melanie Rose Majewski-Kaliszewski transitioned from an angel on earth to an angel in heaven January 2, 2023. Born November 28, 1983, in Lorain, Ohio she had lived in Elyria most of her life. She was a 2002 graduate of Elyria High School and attended LCCC before working at Disney World. She has been a server at Mulligan's Pub and Grille for 15 years, as well as a servant of the Lord at Washington Avenue Christian Church in Elyria and Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church. She was a quilter - member of the Lorain County Piecemakers, jewelry designer, and scrapbooker. She had a love for books, music and singing. Melanie was a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend. She was a ray of sunshine with a smile that could light up any room and a laugh that was infectious.

Melanie is survived by her daughter, River Mae Resar; significant other, Anthony Resar of Elyria; parents, Peter and Cheryl Majewski of Elyria; brothers, Erik Smith of Elyria, Charles Majewski of Columbus; sisters, Sharon McKinney (Eddie) of North Port, FL, Kelly Miller (Michael) of Middlefield, Kari Majewski of Hudson, Marianne Richardson of Elyria and Katherine Ward (Robert) of Somerville, AL; aunts and uncles, eleven nieces and nephews, five great nieces and nephews and many cousins.

Friends will be received Monday, January 16, 2023 from 4:00 pm until the time of a 6:00 pm Celebration of Life service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Reverend Adam Davis of Lorain Lighthouse United Methodist Church and Reverend Nathan A. Russell of Washington Avenue Christian Church will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial account has been established at Fifth Third Bank (any branch) in her daughter's name (River Mae Resar) or memorial contributions may be made to Friendship Animal Protective League, 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.
