Alan Shaffstall Obituary
Alan T. Shaffstall, 66, of Elyria, died September 11, 2022 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center emergency room after complications of covid-19. He was born August 9, 1956 in Elyria and was a 1974 graduate of Elyria High School. For almost 40 years, Alan was employed at Bobels Office Supply and then at Friends Office Supplies where he worked part time. Alan is survived by his wife of 21 years, Jennifer E. (nee Greer); children, Elaine Shaffstall at home, Amy (Jonathan) Kelley of Lorain and Erica (Mike) Marino of Landing, NJ; step son, Keith Sabo of Elyria; grandchildren, Jacob, Jonathan, Alanna, Ashley, Julian, Jessy and Jackson Kelley of Lorain and Molly and Lianne Marino of Landing, NJ; special step grandson, Cory Sabo of Elyria; great-grandson, Nolan Wood of Lorain; sisters, Amy (Bob) Stafford of Alliance and Karen Vilevac of Grafton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ann Staffstall; brother, Carl Staffstall and brother in law, John Vilevac. Friends will be received Friday, September 23, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Memorial contributions may be made to Lake Shore Railway Association, PO Box 3, Wellington, Ohio 44090. There are no gallery images.
