Alene “Blondie” NorrisAlene “Blondie” Norris, 97, of Elyria, died peacefully February 3, 2019 in her home surrounded by family. She was born March 5, 1921 in McKenzie, TN and has been a longtime Elyria resident. Blondie was a strong willed and compassionate mother who enjoyed life. Her interests included spending time with family and friends, enjoying the outdoors and listening to country music and dancing. Blondie is survived by her children, Beryl Eary of South Amherst, Ronny (Pam) Norris, Janice Norris and Denny (Adrie) Norris all of Elyria; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother, Joe Bynum; sister, Donnie Hedgecock and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Noble in 1999; daughter, Nora Spieker in 1975; granddaughter, Angela Norris; sister, Kathleen Crossland and a brother, Felix Bynum. Friends will be received Wednesday February 6, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A funeral service will be Thursday February 7, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the funeral home with Reverend Farrell Keith officiating. Burial will follow at Westwood Cemetery, Oberlin.
