Allan Balderson, 90, of Elyria, died April 15, 2015 at his home.He was born November 5, 1924 in Amesville, OH and was a 1942 graduate of Ames Bern High School. After moving to Elyria, he was employed for 25 years as a machinist at Abex Corporation, retiring in 1984. He was a member and Past Master of Corning Lodge #584 F. & A.M... Allan was an enthusiastic Cleveland sports fan and enjoyed watching his grandsons sporting events.Allan is survived by a son Barry A. (Mary) Balderson of Elyria; daughter Susan K. Elioff of Lakewood; grandchildren Michael Pileski, Melody Williams, Nicole Elioff and Connor Balderson; five great grandchildren; nephews Bill (Jan) Stansberry, Bob (Diane) Stansberry, Danny (Sharon) Stansberry and Donnie Stansberry and a niece Brenda (Rob) Rinehart Also surviving are 10 great nieces and nephews; 20 great great nieces and nephews; 3 great great great nieces and nephews and stepbrothers and stepsisters.He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Deloris S. Dee Balderson in 2007; parents George and Mildred Balderson and stepbrothers and stepsisters.Friends will be received Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 11 to 1 P.M. at Hughes-MoQuin Funeral Home, 168 Morris St. Athens, OH 45701 where Corning Lodge #584 will conduct a Masonic service at 11:00 A.M. A funeral service will be at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Reverend Willard Love officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery, Glouster, OH.
