Alma Willmore, 107, of Elyria, died in her home January 30, 2015.She was born December 7, 1907 in Jones Crossing, Tennessee and had been a resident of Elyria since 1929.For 20 years, she was employed at American Shipyards in Lorain and then for 47 years, in the home of Raymond C. Novatney, M.D.She enjoyed watching Cleveland Indians Baseball on television and spending time with her family.Alma is survived by granddaughters, Vickie Felder, with whom she made her home, Almaleen (Lonnie) Williams, Lisa Williams, Ella Banks, Cathi (Jay) Holt, Donna (Moses) Hutchinson; grandsons, Raymond Dennis Howard, Darryl Reb White and Stephen Rolls; four nieces and two nephews; adopted sons, Charles (Carolyn) McLeod, Leo (Catherine) McLeod and Lamar (Nellie) McLeod, Alex Froust and Charles Ray; godchildren Geraldine Gerri Rucker and Horace Jaycox; nineteen great grandchildren; forty four great great grandchildren and two great great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, Carthew and Mary Hunter; children, Fannie Louise Banks and Georgia Marie Allen and seven siblings.Friends will be received Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 10 A.M. until the time of an 11:00 A.M. service at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. Reverend Willie Gardner, pastor of Unity Baptist Church will officiate.Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
