Anna Margaret Meredith (nee Ruegg), 74, a lifelong resident of Elyria, died Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a long battle with cancer.She was born July 16, 1937 in Elyria and was a 1955 graduate of Elyria High School. Anna worked as a real estate agent many years with Realty One and most recently with Howard Hannah Realty. She was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, enjoyed bowling, crossword puzzles and watching Wheel of Fortune.Anna is survived by her husband of 52 years, Dave E. Meredith; sons David A. Meredith of Elyria and Douglas E. Meredith of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; grandchildren Bradley D., Taylor Nicole and Jared T. Meredith; sister Elsa Walker of Lorain and half-brother Max Schareina of Elyria. Also surviving are 1 niece and 7 nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents Otto and Margaret Ruegg.Family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, April 22, 2012 in the Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria, where a funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 23, 2012. Reverend Kimberly Bayless, interim pastor of St. Paul United Church of Christ will officiate and burial is in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
