Arik Rogers Obituary
Arik J. Rogers, 32, of Elyria, died May 18, 2021. He was born November 18, 1988 in Fort Jackson, SC and was a 2007 graduate of Elyria High School. From 2008-2013, Arik served in the US Army as a Sergeant with the military police. He also served tours of duty in Afghanistan and Iraq and was stationed in Fort Polk, LA. He was employed at Wade Park Veterans Administration as a logistics field technician. Arik enjoyed skateboarding, playing cards, hiking and loved dogs. Arik is survived by his daughter, Adrienne Rogers of NC; mother, Rebecca L. (Ben Miracle) Hall of Collins; siblings, Brian (Mallorie) Rogers of North Olmsted, Haley Hall of Elyria, Lindsey Hall, of Collins, Laura Rogers and Christopher Arthur of South Carolina, and Michelle, Oksana and James Rogers of Washington; maternal grandfather, Frederick (Martha) Ruddick; paternal grandparents, Alonzo and Barbara Rogers; beloved dog, Rocko; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father James Edward Rogers and maternal grandmother, Pamela Turchan. Friends will be received Thursday May 27, 2021 from 4:00 pm until the time of a 7:00 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Reverend June Hardy Dorsey, Rector of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church will officiate. Burial will be Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 3:00 pm in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman. Covid-19 precautions will be observed, face masks are required.
