Audrey Jane Owens, 86, of Oberlin, died March 10, 2016 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. She was born July 29, 1929 in Pittsburgh, PA and spent her childhood in Lorain before moving to Oberlin in 1951. She provided babysitting in her home and worked in housekeeping for The Oberlin Inn and First Merit Bank in Oberlin. She enjoyed collecting dolls and crocheting. Audrey is survived by daughters Debra Rose of Oberlin and Diana Hart of Aurora, CO; a son, Maurice Dayton Owens, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA; her twin sister Delores Jean Griffin of Lorain and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Maurice Dayton Owens, Sr. in 1976.A memorial service will be Saturday, April 2, 2016 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Quick and Delicious Restaurant, 311 S. Main St., Oberlin, OH 44074. Refreshments will be served, and full menu will be available.Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Elyria was in charge of arrangements.
