Barbara Ann McGuireBarbara Ann McGuire, 70, passed away at home in Oberlin February 21, 2019 following a lengthy illness surrounded by her family. Born in Buffalo, NY January 8, 1949, Barbara resided most of her life in Cleveland, OH. She retired from her career as an RN in 2009 after having worked in several medical and nursing facilities throughout Northeast Ohio.Survivors include her beloved children, Daniel McGuire, Brian (Mary Jo), Kerry, Robert “Bert” and Erin Armstrong; her loving sister, Katherine McGuire; ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and many nieces; nephews; cousins and friends.Friends will be received Tuesday February 26, 2019 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A celebration of Barbara’s life will take place immediately following visitation from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at PJ McIntyre’s Irish Pub, 17119 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44111. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Mercy New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, OH 44053.
