Barbara Shiltz Obituary
Barbara A. Shiltz (nee: Jenne), 77 of Elyria, went to be with her Lord June 2, 2015. She was born July 28, 1937 in Amherst, Ohio, was a 1955 graduate of Central High School in Amherst and attended Asbury University in Wilmore, Kentucky. Barbara married George F. Shiltz, December 20, 1957. Barbara was a pastors wife and homemaker and also enjoyed sewing, needlework, reading and spending the winters in Avon Park, Florida. Barbara is survived by her husband of fifty seven years, George F.; children, Sharon Green, Lois Shiltz, Paul (Lynne) Shiltz and Stephen Shiltz; five granddaughters; one grandson; two great granddaughters and one great grandson. Additional survivors include her brother, Dale (Diana) Jenne; aunt, Marilyn Jenne; two sisters-in-law and nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Foster and Ruth Jenne; brother, Neal Jenne and his wife, Judy and aunts and uncles.Friends will be received Friday June 5, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Friends will also be received Saturday June 6, 2015 from 10:00 AM until the time of an 11:00 AM funeral service at Community Methodist United Church, 680 North Abbe Road, Elyria with Reverend Donald Lare officiating. Burial will be in Conotton Cemetery, Conotton, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Community United Methodist Church, Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Avenue, Cleveland, 44110 or a charity of choice.
