Barbara Loufman Obituary
Barbara E. Loufman (nee Shilan), 83, of Elyria, died December 6, 2016. She was born January 12, 1933 in Painesville, Ohio. She was a graduate of Painesville Harvey High School and attended Bowling Green State University. Barbara was a member of Elyria Country Club, First Congregational United Church of Christ, Elyria Service League, Lorain County Historical Society, 95 Book Club, Elyria Garden Club, Auxiliary Board at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center and a long time supporter of The Cleveland Orchestra. She enjoyed playing bridge, golf, reading and gardening. Barb is survived by her husband of sixty four years, Dr. William G. Loufman; children, William J. Loufman of Seminole, Florida and Laurie M. Malone of Scottsdale, Arizona; grandchildren, Christopher, Maximillian and Emily of Arizona and Billy, James and Andrew of Florida and a sister, Frances Baker of Shaker Heights, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Gladys Shilan and a brother, Arthur Shilan A memorial service will be Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 330 Second Street, Elyria, with Reverend Patrick Nicolino officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Elyria Service League, 38017 Revere Drive, North Ridgeville, Ohio 44039.
