Barbara Jo Jowett (nee Livergood), 57, of Myerstown, PA and formerly of Elyria and Medina, died September 2, 2012 in Elyria.She was born June 14, 1955 in Hamilton, OH and moved to Elyria at the age of four. She was a 1973 graduate of Midview High School, where she was chosen for the Presidential Classroom and played French Horn in the high school band.Barbara received an Associate degree from Lorain County Community College and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Baldwin Wallace College in Berea. She was employed as an underwriter for Westfield Insurance Company and moved to Lancaster, PA continuing her work for Westfield at Lebanon Valley Insurance Company in Lebanon, PA.Barbara was a member of the American Business Womans Association and enjoyed the theater and music. She attended Zion Methodist Church in Myerstown and sang in the Praise Band of the church.Barbara is survived by sons Jeff (Julie) Jowett of Cleveland Heights and Kevin Jowett of Medina; grandson, Cameron Jowett of Cleveland Heights; parents Nan and Art Livergood of Elyria; sister Cheryl (Robert) Tacconelli of Woodbine, GA; niece Leslie (Kevin) Higgins and their daughters, Moriah, Kailey, Erin and Leah; niece, Stephane Dembski, Sergeant First Class, U.S. Army.She was preceded in dearth by an infant sister Leslie Kay Livergood.Friends will be received Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria. A memorial service will be Friday, September 7, 2012, 10:00 a.m. at First Congregational United Church of Christ, 330 Second St., Elyria, with Reverend Christina Kukuk officiating.
