Beatrice I. Vincent (nee Ensign), 90, of Elyria, died July 8, 2015 at ONeill Healthcare North Ridgeville.She was born March 31, 1925 in Elyria, was a 1942 graduate of Elyria High School and received her degree as a registered nurse from Lorain County Community College. For several years, she was employed by Clear Silk Dress Store on Broad Street in Elyria and then for 26 years, as a surgical nurse at EMH Regional Medical Center, retiring in 1987. Bea was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Elyria; an Auxiliary member of Elyria V.F.W. no. 1079 and Elyria American Legion Post 12. She was also a member of Elyria Moose Club, Elyria Elks Lodge no. 465 Does and a former member of Oberlin Golf Club. She enjoyed reading, especially mysteries, golf and bowling.Bea is survived by her husband of 71 years, George P. Vincent; son Thomas (Susan) Vincent of North Olmsted; daughter Barbara (William) Custar of Elyria; grandchildren Andrew and Dan (Maura) Custar and Amy and Rebecca Vincent; great grandson Benjamin James Custar and a sister Joan Keller of Port Charlotte, FL.She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Louise Ensign; sister Virginia Jones and a brother Ernest Ensign.Beas life will be celebrated with a gathering of family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Hospice, 9775 Rockside Rd., Suite 270, Valley View, OH 44125.
