Beatrice L. Schuetz (nee Soehnlein), 89, formerly of Parma, OH, died peacefully Thursday, March 7, 2013 at The Abbewood in Elyria surrounded by her family.She was born May 24, 1923 in Madison, Wisconsin and lived in Parma for 59 years before moving to Elyria in January of 2013. She was formerly employed as executive secretary to the vice president of May Company Stores in the Greater Cleveland area for nearly 25 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Bridget of Kildare Parish in Parma and she enjoyed traveling, ballroom dancing, bowling, writing poetry and her children and grandchildren.Beatrice is survived by her husband of 66 years, Elvin D. Schuetz; daughters Deanna (Andy) Kaizer of Elyria and Kathy (Jack) Sekerak of Cleveland, OH; son David (Karen) Schuetz of Lancaster, OH; 8 grandsons and 4 great granddaughters.She was preceded in death by sisters Dorothy Davis and Clara Waschow and a brother Raymond Soehnlein.A memorial service will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m. March 16, 2013 at St. Bridget of Kildare Parish, 5620 Hauserman Rd., Parma, OH with Reverend Robert W. Wisniewski, Jr., pastor officiating. Friends will be received afterwards at the Hampton Inn, 10305 Cascade Crossing, Brooklyn, OH. (off Tiedeman Rd.) Burial will be at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery, Cleveland, OH. Memorial contributions may be made to: Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH.
