Betty Prentice Obituary
Betty M. Prentice (nee Parrott), 93, of Elyria, died July 16, 2019 at O’Neill Healthcare North Ridgeville. She was born August 21, 1925 in Loudonville, Ohio and was a 1943 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School. Betty was formerly employed in the accounting department at Westinghouse Corporation in Mansfield, the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, then retiring as a deputy clerk for the Lorain County Sheriff’s Department. She was a member of Pilgrim United Church of Christ, Elyria and enjoyed antiquing and cooking. Betty is survived by a daughter, Laura M. Winbigler of Elyria; son, David S. (Rosanne) Winbigler of Huron; sister, Darlene Hunt of Mansfield; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Prentice in 2001; parents, Clyde and Virginia Parrott; and a sister Ellen Retzke. Friends will be received Friday, July 19, 2019 from 10:00 am until the time of an 11:00 am funeral service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. Reverend Kathryn Ketchum will officiate.
