Betty R. Walker (nee Garford), 92, of Elyria, died March 12, 2014 at Center Ridge Health Campus, North Ridgeville. She was born March 3, 1922 in Elyria, where she has been a lifelong resident and a member of Elyria V.F.W. Post 1079 Auxiliary. Betty is survived by a daughter Georgia M. (Glenn) Mahaffey and a son Ronald H. (Kathleen) Walker, both of Elyria; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren and a sister Joan Shepard of Strongsville, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband George M. Walker in 1976; grandson, Joseph A. Hebebrand in 2013; sisters Alice Garford, Mary Ellen Jackson, Harriett “Jane” Johnson and parents Harry and Margaret Garfoed. Burial will be in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township.
