Beverly I. Taylor, 86, a life long Lorain County resident passed from this life to the next October 22, 2020. She was born March 28, 1934 at her family home in Elyria and attended schools in Oberlin. Through the years, Bev was employed at Hazel’s Restaurant, Tappan, Servomation, LCCC, JVS, and The Midview Local Schools; enjoying every minute of it. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was a Eucharistic Minister serving the church parishioners and residents of Life Care Center of Elyria. She was a long time member of TOPS 356, North Ridgeville, maintaining her goal for several years. Bev and her husband were avid Chevy Car and Truck Club enthusiasts. She also enjoyed reading, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. Her life was marked by generosity, hard work, wisdom, and her sense of humor. Bev will be sadly missed by her son John A. Taylor and his partner Joe Wasserman of Sandusky and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Taylor in 2005; parents, Ned and Myrtle (nee Newberger) Farr; sisters, Alice Knerian and Lois Gern and a brother, Donnie Farr. Friends will be received Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 11:00 am until the time of a 12:30 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Reverend Charles T. Diedrick will officiate. Burial will be Monday, October 26, 2020 at 3:00 pm in LaPorte Cemetery, Carlisle Township. COVID-19 precautions will be observed and masks are required.
