Brenda L. Granny Harsh, 74, of Elyria, died April 8, 2015 at University Hospitals, Cleveland. She was born October 5, 1940 in Redbank, PA and was a 1958 graduate of Redbank High School. She was formerly employed as a machinist at Ohio Screw Products, Inc. in Elyria. Brenda was a longtime volunteer at Elyria Salvation Army, where she was affectionately known as Granny. She enjoyed baking, cooking, craft making and going on nature walks with her grandchildren. Brenda is survived by daughters Sharon (John) Harsh Miller of LaGrange and Sheila (Buck) Bungard of Elyria; son Robert Paul (Vicki) Harsh of Elyria; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother Butch Holben of Sharon, PA and sister-in-law Dorothy Holben of New Port Richey, FL.She was preceded in death by; son Jimmy Harsh in 1990, granddaughter Jennifer Harsh in 1979; great grandson Bently Hembree in 2013 and her parents.Friends will be received Friday, April 10, 2015 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria. A service will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 11, 2015 in the funeral home with Pastor Mike Payne, Pastor of Cathedral of Life Church, North Ridgeville officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
