Carl Roberts Obituary
Carl E. Roberts, 78, of Elyria, died at his home June 2, 2022. He was born September 8, 1943 in Greenup, KY and was a 1961 graduate of McKinley High School, South Shore, KY. From 1965-1968 he served with the United States Army. Carl was employed for thirty years as a steel worker at USS Steel Company in Lorain, retiring in 2003. He was a member of Elyria Moose Lodge # 778 and Elyria VFW # 1079. He loved time with his grandchildren, playing solitaire, fishing, camping, dancing and repairing mechanical engines. Carl is survived by children, Scott Roberts and Tracy (Matthew) Renick; step-children, John (Cindy) Deptula, Lorrie Boese, Alan Deptula and Penny (William) Grieve and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife of nineteen years, Brenda J. in 1998 and second wife of twenty one years, Lenora A. in 2021; brother, Paul and parents, Noah and Anna Roberts. Friends will be received Tuesday, June 7, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the time of a 1:00 PM service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Reverend Charles J. Ryba will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria. There are no gallery images.
