Carl Petroff Obituary
Carl R. Petroff, 78, of LaGrange, died April 24, 2023 at Keystone Pointe, LaGrange following a brief illness. He was born September 19, 1944 in Wellington, was a 1963 graduate of Midview High School and served with the US Navy from 1964-1968. Carl was a Class A CDL truck driver, retiring from York International Corporation. He enjoyed fishing, telling jokes and stories, Betty Boop and playing video games, his favorites being Command and Conquer and Final Fantasy. Carl is survived by daughters, Shelly (Steve), Carla (Chris) and Barbara (John); grandchildren, Danny III, Eric Jr., David Carl, Nicole, Ashley, Ashisa, Alicia, Gabby and Alexis and great-grandchildren, Ava, Ian, David Oliver, Duke, Tre, Zach, Liam, Kanan, Kierin, Echo, Luna, Addyson, Zayden and Allen. He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Linda R. in 2008; son, Danny Robertson Jr.; granddaughter, Amber Dobbins and mother and father-in-law, Ruth and David Knerien. Friends will be received Friday, April 28, 2023 from 4:00 pm until the time of a 6:00 pm service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Elyria VFW 1079 Honor Guard will present Military Honors.
