Carol Williams Obituary
Carol J. Williams (nee Palagyi), 80, of Grafton Township, died November 2, 2021 at her home after a brief illness. She was born February 25, 1941 in Elyria, grew up on the west side of town and attended Elyria High School. For 25 years, she had been employed at Parker Hannifin Airborne Division from where she retired. Carol was a member of Elyria United Polish Club, Elyria Amvets #32, Elyria Moose Lodge #778, Grafton VFW #3341 and Elyria Eagles #431. She enjoyed trips to casinos, playing bingo, family gatherings and her many friends. She was active at the Community of Faith UCC continuing her Hungarian heritage by making food for church dinners. Carol is survived by daughters, Christine (David) Kuss of Cleveland and Lisa (Brian) Forbush of LaGrange; grandchildren, Christopher (Nikki) Williams, Erica (Michael) Marino, Amy (Jon, Sr.) Kelley, Paige and Brooke Forbush; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and a brother, Andrew (Marcia) Palagyi. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jerry L. in 2010; sons, Edward in 1991, Larry in 2006, 3 infant sons; parents, Andrew and Betty Palagyi; and a dear friend, Edward Jenkins. Friends will be received Friday, November 5, 2021 from 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A funeral mass will be Saturday, November 6, 2021 at 11:00 am at Saint Agnes Catholic Church, 611 Lake Avenue, Elyria with Reverend Charles T. Diedrick officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of choice.
