Carole Patyak Obituary
Carole E. Patyak (nee: Elbert) 79, of Brentwood Lake, passed away Friday March 23, 2012 at Medina Village, in Medina, Ohio. She was born September 29, 1932 in Elyria, was a 1950 graduate of Elyria High School and attended Lorain County Community College. Most of her working career was as an escrow officer in the title industry retiring from Midland Title Company. She was a former active member at Church of The Assumption in Grafton and a former member St. Mary Church, Elyria. She had been a volunteer at the Elyria Public Library and enjoyed spending summers in Northern Michigan, basketball and reading. Carole is survived by her husband of 59 years, Richard M. Patyak; daughters, Nancy (Gordon) Comrie of Elyria, Susan (Tom) Miller of Springfield, Ohio; son, Jim (Jamie) Patyak of Medina; grandchildren, Candace Comrie and Lauren, Michael and Lindsay Patyak and a brother, Richard Elbert of Levering, Michigan.She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Helen Elbert and a sister, Jeanne Sholtz.Friends will be received Monday March 26, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Closing prayers will be Tuesday March 27, 2012 at 9:00 AM in the funeral home followed by a 9:30 AM funeral mass at St. Mary Church, 320 Middle Avenue. Reverend Charles T. Diedrick will be the celebrant with burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimers Association PO Box 74924 Cleveland 44194-4924.
