Carole Holl Obituary
Carole J. Holl, 81, of Elyria, died August 7, 2019 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. She was born October 3, 1937 in Conneaut, Ohio where she was a graduate of Conneaut High School. Carole received a bachelor’s degree in education from The College of Wooster and for 27 years she was a teacher in Manhattan, Kansas and the Elyria City Schools from where she retired in 1997. She was a 50 year member of First Congregational United Church of Christ and the Retired Teachers Association. Carole is survived by her husband of 60 years, John H. Holl; son, Stephen (Deborah) Holl of Sydney, Australia; daughter, Kristen Johnson of Elyria; grandchildren, Sophia and Ethan Holl, and Madeline, Mitchell, and Meredith Johnson; and a brother, Ronald (Elsie) Carmichael of North East, PA. She was preceded by her parents, Byron and Ardis Carmichael; and a brother, Howard Carmichael. Friends will be received Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 10:00 am until 12 noon at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria.
