Carolyn J. Stilwell, 64, of Avon Lake, died February 24, 2022 in her home. She was born October 4, 1957 in Lorain. She was a 1976 graduate of Avon Lake High School and graduated from Ohio University with an associate degree in psychology. Carolyn had been employed as a care giver for Our Lady of the Wayside. She enjoyed cross-stitch, loved animals and cared for many strays over the years. She attended Lake Shore Methodist Church, Avon Lake. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Jaimie (Brett) Martyn; granddaughter, Mia Martyn; mother, Alice Stilwell of Avon Lake; sisters, Sharon (Richard) Faroh and Kathryn Carlson; brother, Frederick (Rebecca) Stilwell; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Frederick D. Stilwell. Services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, Ohio 44053.
