Carroll D. Camp (nee Thorn), 54, passed away March 6, 2015 at home following a long fought battle with cancer.She was born in Fort Knox, KY, and has been a resident of Northeast Ohio for over 40 years.Carroll graduated from Elyria High School in 1978. In 2013, she graduated from Lorain County Community College as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. Carroll was a beloved wife, sister, mother and friend. She was a selfless, generous and loving woman that devoted her life to her family. Carroll worked since the age of 17 and was well known for her devotion and work-ethic. In her spare time she enjoyed playing the lottery, gambling in Las Vegas, taking cruises and other vacations with her family to Myrtle Beach and Tennessee mountain ranges.Carroll is survived by her husband, Bryan Camp; her eight children, Jennifer (Brian) Baker of Sheffield Lake; Kimberly Sugaski of Vermilion; Nicole Sugaski and Jeffery Sugaski, both of Elyria; Kaylee Camp of Sandusky; Sarah Camp of Norwalk; Michael Camp of Norwalk and Stephanie Sugaski. She is also survived by three grandchildren and a brother, Steven Thorn of Jacksonville, FL.She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Thorn (Knight), and her father, Teddy Thorn.Friends will be received Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. Friends will also be received Thursday, March 12, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. until the time of a 3:00 P.M. memorial service in the funeral home. Reverend Janet A.
