Charles F. Chuck Hall, Jr., 69, of Elyria, died peacefully August 21, 2016 at his home surrounded by family.He was born October 14, 1946 in Elyria, had lived in Grafton and attended Midview High School before returning to Elyria 55 years ago.Chuck was employed at Invacare in the plating department and as an assembler for 36 years, retiring in 2006.His interests included restoring cars, NASCAR, stock car and rat rod racing and demolition derby at Lorain County Fair. He was also an avid dog lover and enjoyed gardening and photography.Chuck is survived by his wife of 48 years, Barbara A. (nee Baker); daughters Laura E. (Mark Beale) Chapin of Sheffield Lake, Kathleen J. (Michael) Leonardi of Wellington and Denise R. (Scott) Taylor of Elyria; 8 grandchildren; sisters Joann (Ted) Houston of Vermilion, Judy (Jay) Patterson of Crossville, TN, Janet (Andy) Gerush of Fort Worth, TX, Jeanne (Dale) Bedford of Elyria and Carla (DeJuan) Kelly of Alvarado, TX and many nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents Charles F. and Carlotta G. (nee Yost) Hall, Sr.Friends will be received Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 2 to 4p.m. and 6p.m. until the time of a 7:30p.m. service at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria. Reverend Christopher D. Robinson, chaplain of Mercy New Life Hospice will officiate.
