Charles Busanus Obituary
Charles R. Busanus, 95, of Columbia Station, went home to be with the Lord January 7, 2022. He was born September 30, 1926, the youngest of 11 children to Christ and Emma Busanus of Cleveland. He was a 1945 graduate of West Technical High School, Cleveland and a US Army veteran of WWII. He had lived in North Olmsted prior to moving to Columbia Station in 1995. From 1950 until 1989, Charles had been employed as a millwright at Republic Steel and LTV Steel, Cleveland. He was a former member of Light House Bible Church, Columbia Station. Charles is survived by children, Chris Busanus and Janette Gordon, both of Columbia Station, and Richard Busanus of Cleveland; grandchildren, Larry VanGilder, Sherry Coates and Jessica Clapp; and great-grandchildren, Nathanial, Tyler and Tristan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine E. Busanus in 1981; parents; and siblings. Friends will be received Tuesday, January 18, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of an 11:00 am service at Sunset Memorial Park, 6265 Columbia Road, North Olmsted. Pastor Mike Kirby will officiate and North Ridgeville VFW Post #9871 will conduct military honors at the grave.
