Charles W. McDaniel, 90, of Elyria, died July 3, 2022 after a lengthy illness. He was born April 10, 1932 in Crab Orchard, TN and has been an Elyria resident since 1952. He had formerly been employed at Cumberland State Park in TN and then by the Elyria City School Board. He enjoyed playing BINGO, fishing, and visiting his hometown in TN. Charles is survived by his wife of 66 years, Thelma (nee Costello); children, Charles W. (Tammi) McDaniel Jr. of Elyria, Debra Collins of Smyrna, TN and Ronald W. (Cathy) McDaniel of MayBee, MI; 12 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and sisters, Christine Cook of Elyria and Shirley Thompson of Sandusky. He was preceded in death by his son, Raymond and parents, Craven and Reva McDaniel.
