Clarence W. “Bud” Casey, 82, of Elyria, died peacefully January 3, 2022 at his home after a 2 year illness. He was born February 26, 1939 in Portsmouth, Ohio and was a 1957 graduate of Elyria High School. From 1958-1962, Bud served with the US Navy. He and his wife were former owners of Bill Baker’s Appliance and T.V. Service Center in Elyria. He was a member of Elyria Elks Lodge #465 and Elyria United Polish Club. Bud loved his grandchildren and enjoyed being on the water boating and fishing. Other interests included golf and bowling. Bud is survived by a daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Holliday; son, Michael (Terri) Casey, both of Elyria; grandchildren, Rachel, Regan, Jack and Kathryn Holliday and Brock and Grayson Casey; and a sister, Sue Durkee of Casco, ME. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Diane in 2015; and parents, Clarence and Ruth Casey. Friends will be received Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 11:00 am until the time of a 12:45 pm Elyria Elks Lodge #465 service at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A 1:00 pm funeral service will follow with Reverend Kathryn Ketchum officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Out of respect for our guests, masks are required.
