Clifford Edward Hemlinger, 61, passed peacefully December 8, 2012 of natural causes. Born June 6, 1951 in Elyria, Ohio, Clifford was a 1969 graduate of Elyria High School, served in the U.S. Air Force from 1970-1974, and was a 2003 graduate of the University of Akron. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Preston Hemlinger and Leona Irene Hemlinger (nee: Scheaffer). He was loved and will be remembered by his wife Donna Hemlinger (nee: Newcomb), sisters, Barbara Burrer-Crews and Debbie DeLoach; brothers, Chris Hemlinger and Michael Hemlinger; sons, Clifford Edward Hemlinger and Matthew James Hemlinger; grandchildren, Emily, Michael, Natalie, Preston, and Olivia and countless nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.Cliff (or Kip as he was known by many) was a highly skilled millwright, ascended ranks to become a vice-president at a steel processing plant, briefly ran his own business, and recently retired from the Chrysler Twinsburg Stamping Plant after 19 years as a mechanical engineer. Kip enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, traveling with his wife, and spending time with his family and friends. A private memorial service was held at Mount Zion Methodist Church in Elyria. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Partnership of Cleveland, 3601 South Green Road Suite 100, Cleveland, Ohio 44122-5719. Arrangements were handled by Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Elyria, Ohio.
