Darlene J. Gee (nee Holdren), 78, of Elyria, died July 16, 2016 following a lengthy illness.She was born October 23, 1937 in Lincoln, NE and has been a resident of Elyria since 1962. Darlene was a lifelong homemaker, who enjoyed her family and her church.She was a 25 year member of Elyria Baptist Church.Darlene is survived by sons Jerry (Sherry) Shepherd of Havelock, NC, Larry Heier and Everett Gee, Jr. both of Elyria; daughters Patricia (Glenn) Parks of Sheffield Lake, Shirley (Jimmy) George of Elyria, Darlene (Russell) Binggeli of Lorain and Wanda Conrad of Elyria; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and her brother, Ronald (Jeanne) Holdren of Lincoln, NE.She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Gee; parents Frank and Mabel (nee Bailey) Holdren and a brother Richard Holdren.Friends will be received Thursday, July 21, 2016 from noon until the time of a 2:00 p.m. service at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. Pastor Bob Wickens will officiate. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery.
