David A. Dave Shultz, 54, of Elyria, went home to be with his Lord Friday, December 21, 2012, surrounded by his family.He was born February 13, 1958 in Elyria, was a 1976 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School and received an associate degree from Lorain County Community College.Dave was employed with Architectural Vision Group in Westlake as a systems manager since 2001. He was a member of Church of the Open Door in Elyria, where he volunteered with the worship ministry, controlling media and sound. He enjoyed gardening, wood working in his workshop and camping.Dave is survived by Nancy and his two sons, Dan (Leah) Shultz of Westlake and Tim Shultz of San Antonio, TX; grandson Caleb Shultz; parents Rob and Lee Shultz of Glendale, AZ; brother Doug Shultz of Indianapolis, IN ; sister Jana (Steve) McBeth of Camarillo, CA and nine nieces and one nephew.Friends will be received Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave. Elyria. Visitation will also be Friday, December 28, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the time of an 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Church of the Open Door, 43275 Telegraph Rd., Elyria, OH 44035. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria and memorial contributions may be made to University Hospitals Heart and Vascular Institute Development Fund, 11100 Euclid Ave. MCCO Bldg. 5th Floor, Cleveland, OH 44106.
