David K. Herron, Sr., 55, of Wellington died Saturday August 10, 2013 at the home of his mother. He was born March 22, 1958 in Cleveland, was a lifelong Wellington and LaGrange area resident and a retired construction worker. David enjoyed spending time with his family especially his grandchildren, hunting, golf and his hot rod. He and his sons were passionate Cleveland Browns fans. David is survived by his wife of thirty fife years, Sharon L. (nee: Ford); sons, Donathan L. E. Herron of Elyria, David K. (Meghan) Herron, Jr. of Wellington and Chad W. (Lea) Herron of LaGrange; daughters, Tassie K. Herron of North Ridgeville and Lisa Marie (Brian) Thompson of Wellington; 18 grand children; 3 great grandchildren; mother, Cecile Marie Shreve of LaGrange; sisters, Vicki (Tony) Edgell, Dorothy (Charles) Burnett, Regina (Gary) Burnett all of LaGrange and Tammie Herron of WV.He was preceded in death by his father, Alfred Lloyd Herron and brothers, Leon and Robert Herron.Friends will be received Tuesday August 13, 2013 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A funeral service will be Wednesday August 14, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Matthew Minnich officiating. Burial will be in River Road Cemetery LaGrange Township.
