Dean F. Cooperider, 90, of South Amherst, died July 27, 2014 at Center Ridge Health Campus, North Ridgeville.He was born April 29, 1924 in Fostoria, Ohio. Dean was a 1942 graduate of Bucyrus High School and served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was employed at U.S. Steel Company in Lorain for 38 years, retiring as superintendent of the BOP Shop.Dean is survived by his wife of seventy years, Bonnie F. (nee Riddle); sons Richard A. (Sheryl) Cooperider of Elyria and Larry M. (Judi) Cooperider of Martinez, CA; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by a son Dean F. Cooperider, Jr. in 2012, daughter Kim L. Cooperider in 2002, granddaughter Janelle Cooperider and parents Delbert and Bertha Cooperider.Inurnment will be in Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Elyria was in charge of arrangements.
