Dennis H. Parron, 76, of Sullivan, OH and formerly of Elyria, died June 4, 2017 after a lengthy illness. He was born August 13, 1940 in Elyria and was a 1959 graduate of Midview High School. In 2005, Denny retired from his self employed trucking company in Cleveland and also his pizza restaurant in the Florida Keys. His interests included cooking, golfing, hunting, boating and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and dogs. Denny is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Clara N. (nee Dixon); daughter Michelle R. Parron; son Mark A. Parron; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Michael A. Parron in 1984; parents Howard and Audrey Parron and a brother, Ronald Parron.He will be remembered by his attitude “It’s five o’clock somewhere”. The family will receive friends Saturday, June 10, 2017 from 4 p.m. until the time of a 7 p.m. memorial service at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. Reverend June Hardy Dorsey will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Lung Association, 6100 Rockside Woods Blvd. Suite 260 Independence, OH 44131.
