Diane A. Casey (nee: Scholle), 71, of Elyria, died January 10, 2015 at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain after an eight year battle with cancer.She was born September 5, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio and was a 1961 graduate of Elyria High School. Diane and her husband were co- owners of Bill Bakers Appliance and T.V. Service Center. in Elyria. She was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ and Elyria Elks Lodge # 465. Diane enjoyed her role as a grandma, spending time with her family and gardening. Diane is survived by her husband of fifty years, Clarence W. Bud Casey; daughter, Jennifer (Mike) Holliday; son, Michael (Terri) Casey; grandchildren, Rachel, Regan, Jack and Kathryn Holliday and Brock and Grayson Casey and a brother, Dennis (Pam) Scholle all of Elyria.She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Amelia Scholle.Friends will be received Tuesday January 13, 2015 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at Dicken Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. A service will be Wednesday January 14, 2015 at 11:00 in the funeral home with Reverend Wayne Brass officiating. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, 44053 or a charity of choice.
