Dolores A. Toth, (nee Prochaska), 83, of Westlake and formerly of Case Rd. in North Ridgeville, passed away July 4, 2015 at her home after a long illness. She was born May 22, 1932 in Cleveland and was a 1950 graduate of John Adams High School, where she was a member of the Thespian Society. It was there she met the love of her life, Frank, to whom she was married in 1955. They lived in Bowling Green, Ohio while Frank attended Bowling Green State University. Upon his graduation in 1959, they relocated to Elyria where Frank taught English at Elyria High School for 35 years. In 1970, they moved to North Ridgeville where they happily raised their six children and cared for their beautiful gardens. They also purchased a kiln and spent many contented hours creating beautiful ceramic pieces which are cherished by their children.As a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Elyria, Dolores was a dedicated servant of the Lord serving on Womens Council, Altar Guild and other committees as well as participating in Bible studies. She could always be counted on to provide support and assistance and spent many hours organizing and staffing the annual rummage sales as well as providing home cooked items for the bereavement luncheons. Along with her husband, she traveled with a church group to Israel and the Holy Lands. Dolores also took great pride in her role as a wife and mother, orchestrating many wonderful birthday, family, life event and holiday celebrations always in a warm and loving way with a focus on her family and a satisfying meal. In 2007, with Franks health failing, they moved to Westlake where Dolores devotedly and tirelessly cared for him until his passing in 2009.Dolores is survived by her children, Jennifer T. Moneagle (Ed) of Beaufort, SC; Cynthia M. Wolfe (Steve) of Marysville, OH; Frank Toth, Jr. (Carol) of North Ridgeville; Celeste A. Simonson (Michael) of Kenwood, OH; Commander U.S. Navy Michael H. Toth (Stephanie) of Suffolk, VA; Christopher J. Toth (Angi) of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren Christopher Bork, C. Frank and Grace Toth, and Harrison Wolfe; her brother, Norman Prochaska (Norma) of Rose Lake, MI; brother-in-law George (Josie) of Sheffield Lake and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Frank and her parents Henry and Helen Prochaska.Friends will be received Thursday, July 9, 2015 from 10am until the time of an 11:30am service at St. John Lutheran Church, 1140 West River Road, Elyria with Pastor Jim Herbolsheimer officiating. Burial will be in North Ridgeville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church.
